In news that’ll make the OG rockers quite excited, Pearl Jam has been announced as the next headliner for BST Hyde Park.

The band will come together on Friday 10 July for a performance that will mark the 30-year anniversary of the group’s formation, their only UK gig as part of their European tour.

They’ll perform the day before Little Mix, who will headline the Saturday night slot, and will be supported by Pixies and White Reaper.

Get your Eddie Vedders out, it’s happening!

The frontman will be joined by guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament and drummer Matt Cameron.

Late last month, AEG announced the festival has signed a two-year deal with The Royal Parks, that will cement its next offerings.

Some things have changed, though, with the formerly partnered Barclaycard event now named American Express Presents BST Hyde Park, which is in no way a mouthful…

From 9.30am this morning until 9.30am 7 December eligible American Express Cardmembers can exclusively purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public.

After that, it’s a free for all – with presale tickets also available should you want to beat the rush.

Last week Little Mix announced their impressive headlining spot at the gig.

‘We have some huge news that we are so excited about, that we want to share with you guys,’ Jesy Nelson said in a clip last month.

‘We are heading back on the road next year for our summer 2020 tour. This will include a date playing the legendary American Express Presents BST Hyde Park in London.’

They’ll be supported by Rita Ora, Kesha and Zara Larsson.

Since its inception in 2013, BST Hyde Park has played host to some amazing acts over the years, including The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, Black Sabbath, Carole King, Robbie Williams, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton and Celine Dion.
